This planned community is located south of Lake Mead Drive in Henderson. It extends both east and west of Valle Verde Dr. and south of the 215 Beltway. It is a small planned community with about 3100 total residences. All the homes are relatively new with a good selection of resale properties on the market. It is distinguished by the many beautiful parks and recreation areas.
Strictly speaking, Green Valley is a suburb of Henderson. Second, it is a planned community and at 8,000 acres will someday be dwarfed by Summerlin's 22,000 acres. I included it because it very much has it's own identity. It has it's own high school, Green Valley High. It's schools, by any objective standard, are very highly rated. Housing options include apartments to private estate homes. This is a mature community but with a lot of contemporary housing. It is also close to the airport as well as "The Strip". If you haven't decided on an area Green Valley is definitely worth a look
There is a lot to choose from in Green Valley. Properties include condominiums, villas, smaller single family homes and also a variety of nice custom homes. The median home value is $230,000 to over $4,000,000.
With the opening of 215 beltway past Valle Verde the commute to the rest of Las Vegas has become much easier. It is approximately a 15 min drive to the center of the strip.

Green Valley was developed in 1978 by American Nevada Corporation. It covers 8,400 acres and has a population of over 60,000 people. Henderson Occupies the southeast corner of the Las Vegas valley.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2003, Henderson is now the second largest city in Nevada and one of the fastest growing places in the US. Green Valley is known as one of the first suburban communities developed away from the Strip. It is now a mix of ranch homes built in the 1970's along with new home developments.
