Belmont, Nevada. After about 20 years of life, Belmont stepped down and became a less prominent force in Nye County Nevada. But while it had its day, it enjoyed life to the fullest.
The city came to live in about 1865. Belmont produced $15 million of silver and lead ore and was the county seat of Nye County before other cities grew around them and became more noticeable, leaving Belmont to the faithful homeowners and the small town community.
Belmont was not just any mining town. They were the home to the "Cosmopolitan", a Music Hall where many stars of stage were proud to perform.
Today Belmont is a quiet peaceful town off the beaten path with plenty of history for any and all who wish to explore. They are small and cozy and close to the much bigger cities, offering the best of both worlds for the whole family.
