Rachel, Nevada. Rachel is the area’s newest town. Rachel is on the extraterrestrial highway and located 40 miles west of the junction of S.R. 318 and U.S. 93 in western Lincoln County.
The friendly folks in Rachel are many and will invite everyone to their beautiful little community for a visit. They are a very young town, in an very old neighborhood. The town is situated in Sand Springs Valley in western Lincoln County. Rachel is named after the first child to be born there, Rachel Smith.
Rachel is surrounded by mines and Indian Caves. Old ghosts are said to frolic in nearby towns and at the old stage coach depot. The area abounds with interesting walking and driving sites to visit.
